CrossFit West Chester is hosting the 3rd Annual New Year Novice Partner Throwdown (same gender). This year we are offering a Beginner and an Intermediate division!

This is a fun competition designed for CrossFitters who are looking for more experience in a competition setting. There will be 15 F/F and 15 M/M teams per division with 3 workouts and a final WOD (top 5 teams).

 

There will be prizes for top 3 teams with a cash prize for 1st place.

 

All ages are welcome. Please answer all prompted questions at registration, including team name and t shirt sizes. Workouts are posted below, all standards will be released prior to competition, but expect usual standards. Prizes by The NorthFace.

 

WOD 1

AMRAP 12 Minutes Partner DT

Partner 1 completes full round of DT while Partner 2 holds Pet Rock X2, Farmer Carry Style

Intermediate:

12 Deadlift 135/93

9 Hang Clean 135/93

6 Shoulder To Overhead 135/93

Pet Rock=70lb Kettlebells for Men, 53lb Kettlebells for women (2kbs)

Beginner:

12 Deadlift 95/53

9 Hang Clean 95/53

6 Shoulder To Overhead 95/53

Pet Rock=53lb Kettlebells for Men, 35lb Kettlebells for women (2kbs)

 

 

WOD 2

1 Partner Hang Snatch, 1 Partner Hang Clean (Power or Squat, above knee)

Teams have 15 Minutes for 1 partner to hang snatch and 1 to hang clean. Same barbell.

 

 

WOD 3

Intermediate:

3 Minutes Max Cal Row and max Burpee Box Jump Over24/20, partners switch movements as needed

3 Minutes Max Cal Row and max reps Front Squat 135/93, switch movements as needed

3 Minutes Max Cal Row and max reps Pullups, switch as needed

3 Minutes Max Cal Row and max reps Wall Balls 20/14, switch as needed

Beginners:

3 Minutes Max Cal Row and max Box Jumps or Step Ups 20/16, partners switch movements as needed

3 Minutes Max Cal Row and max reps Front Squat 95/53, switch movements as needed

3 Minutes Max Cal Row and max reps Burpees, switch as needed

3 Minutes Max Cal Row and max reps Wall Balls 14/10, switch as needed
