Brian grew up in West Chester and spent the majority of his childhood on a basketball court or baseball field. But once organized sports stopped, he found himself spending countless hours a weight room at Penn State. Like most crossfitters, Brian was skeptical of Crossfit when he heard about it from a friend. However, in August ’07, he finally gave in and performed “Murph” for his first Crossfit workout. Immediately, he was hooked and has not done any other type of training since. Brian’s favorite aspects of Crossfit is the variety and high intensity that each workout brings. Setting a new personal record or finishing a workout he thought was impossible are the reasons CrossFit has kept his competitive spirit alive. Brian currently is a Health and PE teacher, as well as basketball, and baseball coach at a local high school. Brian has competed on the Crossfit Regional Team for Crossfit West Chester in 2014, and was a team alternate in 2013.
