Yoga with Brantlee: Sunday @ 11:15am
Through the practice of yoga and movement, my intention is to create a space that allows the student to find relaxation and healing, as well as challenge and curiosity.
I had discovered the hot, sweaty, challenging Power Yoga style when a fellow martial artist took me to a class many years ago. Over time, I sought out instructors and trainings of various disciplines along the yoga spectrum; I believe there is a yoga for everybody! Always wanting to learn more and share with others, I became a certified yoga teacher in 2013. I followed up with a specialty certification from the Himalayan Institute in Ayurveda, an ancient Indian study of life knowledge. Ayurveda helped me to relieve anxiety and depressive moods and live in better harmony with the seasons.
We all have the power of choice. Couple that with observing cause and effect, and we become aware of the impact of our choices, hopefully towards more meaning and purpose throughout our lives.
I’ve been a CrossFitter since January 2017, and love the blend of intensity and relief that both yoga and CrossFit offer me in mind, body and spirit.
Through the practice of yoga and movement, my intention is to create a space that allows the student to find relaxation and healing, as well as challenge and curiosity. Our Sunday practices will bring the yin to the CrossFitter’s yang. We’ll focus on needs of the students as well as the impacts (cause and effects) of the past week’s workouts. You can be assured that each class will be a blend of both movement and stillness, including attention on breathwork (pranayama).
